What’s Changed Since Mid-April

Late April and early May haven’t brought any seismic shifts to the UK gay sauna scene — but six venues have made changes regulars will notice. Two are leaning into structured themed programming that gives the week a shape; one is opening longer on its quieter days; one is back online after a registrar headache; and two have made careful, measured pricing adjustments. We checked all 37 UK gay sauna listings and the picture is below.

April brought another National Living Wage uplift and energy bills remain well above their pre-2023 baseline. The pricing moves you’ll see further down aren’t aggressive — they’re the kind of careful single-pound adjustments venues make to hold the line on staffing, utilities and the standard of facilities regulars expect. That’s worth naming directly.

Gay saunas aren’t simply commercial leisure venues. For a lot of gay and bisexual men they’re among the very few places in the country where you can be openly yourself — no performance required, no explaining yourself, no looking over your shoulder. When venues invest in real steam, clean facilities, varied events programmes and trained staff, that costs money. Two Venues Just Added Naked Nights

Just For You, Birmingham has rebranded its Thursday day theme. The old “I Dropped My Towel!” Thursday has been retired in favour of NAKED — every Thursday, all day. Alongside the rebrand, the venue has added a new £10 all-day entry tier specifically for Naked Thursdays. That sits below the standard £15 rate, making Thursday the cheapest day of the week to visit.

The Locker Room (Kennington), London has reshuffled its monthly evenings — and regular readers may notice this is a back-step on a move we reported in the April 2026 Sauna Report. Lads for Dads — NakedMates’ intergenerational evening — moves back to the second Wednesday of the month. A new Naked Evening now claims the third Wednesday slot. Door prices and the rest of the events programme are unchanged.

Club Zeus Mansfield Has Extended Its Hours

Club Zeus, Mansfield has moved its closing time from 18:00 to 21:00 on both Mondays and Sundays — three more hours on the two quietest days of the week. Saturday opening also shifts from 11:00 to 12:00. Tuesday through Friday are unchanged.

Two Venues Have Adjusted Pricing

Plastic Ivy, Dewsbury has moved every entry tier up by £1. Standard goes from £17.50 to £18.50, Early Bird from £14.50 to £15.50, and Evening from £12.50 to £13.50, with Concessions and the Loyalty rate tracking the same flat increase. Hours, facilities and the lifetime membership price are unchanged. A flat £1 across every tier is precisely the kind of careful adjustment venues make to hold the line on running costs.

Sweatbox, Soho has lifted its massage prices by £10 across all three durations. The 30-minute slot moves from £40 to £50, the 60-minute from £60 to £70, and the 90-minute from £80 to £90. Standard sauna entry is untouched — this adjustment is on the massage menu only.

Hull’s Gentry Spa Is Back Online

Gentry Spa, Hull is publishing again after its main domain went dark on 1 May. The website (gentryhull.com) was caught up in a parked-domain issue at the registrar; the workaround is a working WordPress mirror at pioneering-gentryhullcomms.wordpress.com. Hours, prices, address and facilities all match what we have on file — nothing else has changed. Anyone looking up Gentry by its old URL between 1 and 3 May would have hit a parked page; the venue itself is open and running normally.

What This Reflects

Most of the changes here are about venues fine-tuning their offer for the regulars who actually use them. New themed nights give the week a shape. Longer hours on the quieter days say a venue knows its midweek crowd. Domain wobbles get sorted out. None of these moves are dramatic on their own — and that’s the point. The British sauna network is alive, adjusting in small ways every week.

As costs across UK hospitality continue to grind upward, the small pricing adjustments above reflect that reality, not anyone getting greedy. These venues run hot pools, steam rooms, saunas and licensed spaces around the clock. They employ staff, maintain equipment, and provide something mainstream leisure doesn’t come close to — a safe, genuinely affirming environment for gay and bi men. We check all 37 listings every month so you always know what to expect before you go.
