Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam Room
The ground floor wet facilities include a large 20-man indoor jacuzzi (spa pool) and a steam room. Showers are available on the same level. The traditional dry sauna is currently closed (as of March 2026) — check with the venue for updates.
Roof Garden
One of Sailors’ most distinctive features — an outdoor roof terrace where guests can relax, get fresh air, and smoke while remaining undressed. Very few London gay saunas offer any outdoor space, making this a genuine differentiator. The roof garden also serves as the venue’s outdoor smoking area.
Private Cabins and Cruising Areas
Two upper floors are dedicated to private relaxation cabins and darkened cruising areas. The layout provides a range of spaces from fully private to more open areas.
Café, Lounge and Social Areas
A café and snack bar serves refreshments throughout the day. A TV lounge provides a comfortable space to relax between sessions. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue.
Lockers
The venue has 150 lockers. Every guest is issued a standard blue locker on arrival. Avoid bringing large bags or luggage.

About
Sailors Sauna – Limehouse, London
Sailors Sauna is East London’s biggest gay sauna, at 570–574 Commercial Road in Limehouse — one minute from Limehouse DLR station and next door to The White Swan, one of East London’s longest-running LGBTQ+ bars. Spread across four floors, it has a 20-man jacuzzi, dry sauna, steam room, private cabins, darkened cruising areas, a TV lounge, a café and snack bar, and a roof garden — one of the few outdoor spaces at any London gay sauna. The venue is open seven days a week. Monday is Big and Cuddly day for bears, cubs, chubs, and admirers. Entry is £25 standard, or £20 Early Bird (Tue–Fri, 12:00–13:00). No membership required.
Sailors Sauna sits on Commercial Road in Limehouse, directly beside Limehouse DLR and c2c station — making it one of the easiest gay saunas in London to reach by rail. For anyone searching for a gay sauna in Limehouse or a gay sauna in East London, this is the venue. It draws visitors from across the eastern half of the city and beyond: Tower Hamlets, Canary Wharf, Stratford, Barking, and the c2c corridor through Thurrock and South Essex all feed directly into Limehouse without needing to go through central London. That Essex connection is a genuine differentiator — men travelling from Basildon, Southend, or Grays can reach Sailors in under 40 minutes by train, with no changes and no need to navigate the West End.
The venue’s Limehouse setting gives it a character quite distinct from the Soho and Waterloo saunas. It’s quieter, more local, and built around a regular crowd rather than passing footfall. The roof garden, the 20-man jacuzzi, and the relaxed Monday sessions all reflect a venue that’s settled into its neighbourhood rather than chasing a transient audience. For men in East London, Docklands, or anywhere along the c2c line, Sailors is the local option — and for many, that’s exactly the point.
